Combas Farm is only a short walk away from the famous Putborough Sands, a blue flag beach, which has always been a firm favourite with our guests. Over 2 miles of golden sands leading to Woolacombe, voted one of the seven best beaches in the world. Bathing is safe, there are many rock pools and often good surf. Tuition is available for surfing and other watersports. There are riding stables and tennis courts in Croyde while Saunton Golf Club is less than 3 miles away. Most of the coast is National Trust - we are close to the South West coast path, the Tarka Trail also the Devon Coast to Coast and the West Country Way Cycle routes.

Drive for an hour or so and you can have a day on Exmoor with possibly a pony trek through Lorna Doone county, or view the fantastic scenery of North Devon's spectacular rugged coastline. A few minutes down the farm track (sometimes muddy - bring your wellies!) lies the "picture postcard" village of Croyde, famed for it's world class surf. There are several attractive pubs there, most offering "pub grub", some with restaurants.

As well as the pubs there are also quaint old tea shops, ice cream parlours and intimate restaurants - in short, something for everyone.
